Hello Everyone!
Beginning this Wednesday night, Michael Marsolek and Lawrence Duncan will be presenting a 5-City Musical Dreamtime Journey tour to Helena, Butte, Missoula, Spokane, and Kalispell. Click here for all the details (below).
This coming New Years Eve, Drum Brothers
will be giving a special earlier performance for
FirstNight Missoula 2020!
We'll be performing at the West Side Theater (1200 Shakespeare Street) from 7:30 - 9:00 pm.
After giving late-night finale performances for so many years, we wanted to switch things up
and honor the requests of so many of our fans who've asked for an earlier-evening show. We'd love to see you there.
The theater might be at capacity, so plan on arriving early to secure your seats!
One low price for a FirstNight ticket will get you in to numerous arts events
happening throughout the day. Let's help ARTS Missoula get the word out
about this wonderful annual celebration. Please take the time to tell your circle
of friends about all the great art-making that happens at FirstNight Missoula.

For 17 years, Drum Brothers have presented annual Boulder River Rhythm Retreats at this amazing camp on the Boulder River in the Absaroka wilderness south of Big Timber Montana. We've had too many amazing circles of rhythm and community there to recall them all... and we've met so many new friends and rhythm family there. Our children, and those of so many others, have grown up with Camp Mimanagish holding a special place in their hearts.
But this beloved
venue is in transition and will be sold.
Singing Waters Montana
is a new non-profit started by people devoted to that sacred
ground for the sole purpose of giving the
Camp new life as a retreat center for all. They will welcome groups of all kinds, especially those who meet the needs of underserved populations.
And they are eager to welcome Drum Brothers and friends back to camp in 2020.
The Singing Waters Montana Working Group and Board have done a tremendous amount of research and created a Business Plan with three years of
budgets, projecting a break-even bottom line. Their hearts and minds are leading them to have good business sense while they honor the land
and water, partner with open-minded groups, and make the forest ring with music and laughter!
Their urgent need is for funds to purchase the buildings (Mimanagish is on US Forest land, so it’s just the facility for sale). Time is of the essence so they can make an offer in the next few weeks and pay the total by the end of the year. Fundraising goals are $150,000 by January 1st. The price may be higher than that, and the maintenance needs are great, so sustaining (monthly) gifts are welcomed as well as one-time donations.
YOU can make a huge difference by contributing to the future of Mimanagish, and ensuring that we will be able to gather there! You can give via PayPal with the Donate button on singingwatersmontana.org OR send a check directly to Singing Waters Montana, 2323 Broadwater, Suite 2, Billings MT 59102. If they are not successful in purchasing the Camp, all contributions will be returned. Lawrence Duncan and Michael Marsolek present a Musical Dreamtime Journey tour 2019. These annual concerts celebrating the season of lights and winter solstice have been presented around the region for more than two decades. Each performance features a variety of world instruments and sounds, including: Didgeridoos, Ethnic Flutes, Bassoon, Saxophones, Drums and Percussion Instruments, Harp, Tibetan Bowls, Voices, poetry and other musical surprises. Unique to the world of performing arts, the Dreamtime Journey concerts are held without applause, in the round, and by candlelight. And for contemplative comfort, participants are encouraged to bring pillows, pads and blankets etc. For many attendees, the Musical Dreamtime Journey has become an annual holiday tradition and a great way to de-stress during the sometimes frenetic season.
